ColdBricks as a Content Management System.
At the first glance you will see that ColdBricks is not your typical
Content Management System. The flexibility, power of customization and
endless possibilities for extension provided by the underlying
architecture sets ColdBricks apart from traditional content management
applications.
Whereas other CMS solutions aim to provide a tightly controlled environment
full of rules and restrictions, the goal of ColdBricks is to provide site creators
with the tools to craft unique sites that can grow in multiple directions and
can take multiple shapes.
ColdBricks is based on the idea that each page on a site is a collection of "resources"
such as content entries, skins, interactive widgets or HTML fragments. Site creators
manage these "resource libraries" and can combine any of these resources to create
the pages of the site.

ColdBricks as a Site Generator.
Another distinction between ColdBricks and other CMS applications, is that
the sites that you create using ColdBricks
do not depend
on the presence of ColdBricks to function. This means that ColdBricks can
be used by developers to generate and customize a site and then simply copy
the generated website code (along with the HomePortals runtime library) and
deploy to a different server and the site will work exactly the same.
Furthermore, ColdBricks ships with several "site templates" which can be used
to rapidly generate different types of sites that can be either used "straight out of the box"
or further customized. Additionally, the site template functionality of ColdBricks
can be extended by adding new templates or even building your own!

Powered By HomePortals Technology.
ColdBricks generates sites that are built on top of the
HomePortals framework.
HomePortals is a development platform that allows developers
